Weekends at BOB: April 1-2

The folks over at MyStCroix put together a weekly calendar of events at Bungalows on the Bay St. Croix, called "Weekend at BOB's".  

Here you can find the activities for this weekend April 1-2:


A full weekend of fun! Live Music all day, water jump-o-lene, food, vendors, fun.

Saturday – April 1

  • Tim Bartzen 11 am – 1 pm
  • Steve Katz 1 pm – 3 pm
  • No Problemo 3 pm – 6pm
  • Kurt Schindler 6 pm – 9 pm

Sunday – April 2

Kurt Briggs SchindlerKurt Briggs Schindler, the One Man Barefoot Band. Born and raised on the island of St. Croix, is a Caribbean singer-songwriter-performer who is considered a local musical icon. Known for his live looping, which is technology that allows you to record your instruments live and layer them to sound like a band. He creates his own unique style that draws from mostly reggae, soca, Latin jazz, rock and flamenco in his compositions. The Schindigglers are a world fusion trio doing originals and covers in a range of styles from Reggae, Rock, Jazz, and Flamenco.  The band consists of Kurt Briggs Schindler- Guitar and vocals; Salvi Fragrosa- percussion and vocals; Jeff Gay- bass guitar.


Steve Katz is a self-taught, virtuoso guitarist known for performing a diverse set of music styles spanning Latin, Mediterranean, Middle Eastern, Renaissance, Classical, Finger Style, Blues, and Rock. Moose Dem is a “new” high energy tight “Band” consisting of a four-piece rhythm section, Sax, and a female singer. The six band members have wide-ranging talent and music experiences here on St. Croix, the mainland, and Europe. This allows us to produce show(s) unique on St. Croix and the Virgin Islands. MD’s repertoire includes excellent musical covers with original arrangements of songs from Johnny Cash to Stevie Wonder; from Bruno Mars to Amy Winehouse and Lauryn Hill; from R&B standards to Pop, Blues, and some Jazz favorites. Moose Dem is dedicated to bringing high-quality listening and fine entertainment to all of their audiences.

They've done some major work, but sometimes it's the little things that make a difference. Table with coffee/tea needs - sugar, cups, etc.- but no coffee or water in the pot; no breakfast offered. Empty ice tray in freezer, nothing in room, even salt and pepper. Folks arrive late night, no way to get snack or food for breakfast. We were promised special treat for birthday dinner, but nothing done or said. And, they spelled Caribbean wrong on their website!
